A Season, A Reason, A Lifetime

I don't know who came up with this phrase but it holds true to those I have met along life's journey. There have been some very interesting characters that have crossed my path. Some have come and gone and a special few are yet in my life. There are some that I wish had never shared in that season and some I wish could have stayed forever.

At one point, I thought I had enough friends and loved ones, however, I believe God continues to allow special people to enter my life. But God wouldn't be God if he didn't allow some new folk to be borderline a**holes. (They only come to make me stronger anyway.)

This past weekend I attended Mississippi Black Pride in Jackson, MS. There were a lot of people there that I have connected with before and there were some new faces. New faces are always refreshing. Although, a familiar face allowed me to have the time of my life! You never know what the possibilities may be by traveling down an old familiar road.

I will always remain open to those that I need to share with or receive something from. The Divine knows how to really connect His people. I believe there is someone, somewhere waiting just to hear from, listen to, and experience you...your voice, your touch, your love, your companionship. Where have you been all my life?
